The Substratum of S.D. Modern Sr. Sec. School was established by Late Sh. Madan Mohan Mahajan in 1956. Initially, the school operated from “Thethera Bazar” on Devi Mandir Road in Panipat, with Smt. Kanta Devi as its first Principal. However, in order to accommodate a growing number of students and provide a conducive learning environment, the S.D. Management decided to relocate the school to a new and ornate building beneath Quila.
